Find - Part 2 - Franciere

April 11, 2011

Here are few more of the drawings that I picked up at a flea market. Artist goes by the pen name of Franciere. Pen on paper, 1960s to 1970s. Most appear to be self portraits. I think he was Vietnam vet. Most of the drawings have poetic - proclamations - statements written on them. He claims to have written a book called "Some Velvet Morning" published by Bantam books. I could find no record of it. This is one guy I'd love to have a conversation with.

And yes, if anyone is interested - they are for sale.
