Being a collector/picker is a strange occupation. You never know what you'll find. One day it's trash, the other it's treasure. I once had a girlfriend who accused me of being a glorified garbageman. Sometimes I think she may have been right. After all, it's just other peoples stuff. I keep looking around... hoping to find something interesting.
Like this 1936 Martin D-18 I just picked up. And yes, it sounds just as good as it looks.

If anyone is in the South Bend Indiana area... tomorrow night (friday)... I'll be at Artpost Gallery signing copies of a book that I put together with my friend Bill Vaccaro... I fould some old Diana clone cameras that were made as giveaways for Shakey's Pizza.... We sent them out to some of our favorite photobloggers... They sent back the images taken with the Shakey's cameras... We put it all together in a book - The Shakey Photo Project... This is just a preview... The book will be available to the public shortly... We'll also be raffling off a few of the Shakey's cameras... feel lucky? Come on down.
