Peoria is one hell of a town. Nice people, good pie and best of all cheap junk. The whole reason I went out to central Illinois was to see if I could buy good antiques at farm auctions. I wanted to try it out as a test for the upcoming roadtrip. Ya know what, it worked. I hit three country auctions and was able to get some awesome crapola for pennies on the dollar. I filled the truck with goodies and met some awesome country folk along the way. Everyone I met was as nice as can be.... even the lady who went out of her way to point out the location of the local church. (So I didn't have any problem finding it on Sunday .... I must look like a heathen). I was only asked a couple of times if I was "from the city".

I think this is one way I can make some moolah on the trip.
