The Nixon School Safety Patrol was there to enforce the rules.
Only the best and brightest students were given for the honor of wearing the yellow sash.
The sash of authority.
It was with much pride that they gathered on a March day in 1957.
For the photo that would show the world.
Who they were.
The chosen few.
The enforcers of all that was right in the world.
The keepers of order.
Everyone would see.
The quiet strength and dignity.
Of the honored few.
